Ballot Educational Open House on Oct. 7

FUSD Families and Staff,

Flagstaff Unified School District and the City of Flagstaff invite families, staff, and community members to attend a Ballot Educational Open House on Wednesday, October 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flagstaff Aquaplex, 1702 N. Fourth St.

The open house will provide an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about four local propositions appearing on the November ballot: Propositions 404, 405, 407, and 409. Representatives from FUSD and the City of Flagstaff will be available to share information and answer questions.

City of Flagstaff Propositions:

  • Proposition 404 would provide funding for additional public safety positions.

  • Proposition 405 would provide funding for public safety facilities, infrastructure, and equipment.

Flagstaff Unified School District Propositions:

  • Proposition 407 would continue FUSD’s existing 15% Maintenance & Operations Override, which supports funding for staffing, academic programs, and extracurricular opportunities.

  • Proposition 409 would authorize a District Additional Assistance Override, providing funding for capital needs such as technology, curriculum materials, classroom equipment, school buses and vehicles, safety upgrades, and minor facility repairs.
